RDA working with GOED

As one of eight contracted Regional Development Authorities (RDAs) across Nevada, we work closely with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) to implement and support the state’s comprehensive Economic Development Plan. This collaboration helps drive investment, job creation, and sustainable growth throughout the region. You can view the full Nevada Economic Development Plan here (PDF), and learn more about GOED’s incentive programs designed to support businesses and communities statewide.

C-PACE

C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) is a financing tool that enables owners of commercial, industrial, and multifamily properties (with five or more units) to access long-term funding for energy efficiency, water conservation, renewable energy, and resiliency upgrades. This private capital financing is secured through a voluntary assessment lien on the property and is repaid over time through the property tax bill. Financing terms are aligned with the useful life of the improvements, and funds can cover up to 100% of project costs—often with no money down. For retrofit projects on existing buildings, C-PACE financing can amount to as much as 25% of the property’s fair market value.

In addition to retrofits, C-PACE is also available to commercial real estate developers undertaking new construction or full gut rehabilitations. Developers are increasingly turning to C-PACE to reduce their overall cost of capital and to close financing gaps that may otherwise stall a project. For these types of developments, C-PACE financing can reach up to 35% of the fair market value of the assessed property. By supporting both upgrades to existing structures and the development of new, energy-efficient buildings, C-PACE offers a flexible, market-driven solution for sustainable growth.
